The Junior Service League of Summerville was formed in the fall of 1988 as a way to build a strong base of volunteer service in our local community. With more than 100 active members, we have provided over 3,000 hours of community service this past year to local organizations. Junior Service League members volunteer through JSL sponsored activities that assist area non-profits such as helping at local camps, serving meals at local shelters, ushering for theater events, working with animals at local shelters, working with children and the elderly, donating needed items to help others and so much more.
The Summerville Junior Service League proudly serves the following organizations:

Community Grant Process /SORC
The selection of communitiy organizations for which the JSL will support is based on the requirements as defined by the SORC committee. Each year the committee sends out applications to existing non-profits in the community and ask them to complete the application.
If your organization is interested in being an approved JSL organization, please contact Mindy Thompson.
